  • Chris Kramer: President

    Chris Kramer: President

    As President and founder Chris’s hard work and love of construction have given Remark phenomenal growth. From one crew with Chris still wielding a hammer, Remark now runs 3 crews and Chris oversees daily operations. He still meets with many of our new customers, prepares some of our estimates, and manages Remark’s project supervisors.

    ​A Cincinnati native and graduate of Lee University with an emphasis on geotechnical engineering and architectural drafting, Chris is a 4th generation builder with a passion for construction which began in his early in his teens. Learning from the ground up, Chris has done everything in construction from framing and drywall to roofing and pouring cement. He personally communicates with every Remark customer to ensure that every single project exceeds customer expectations.

    Jim Mitchell: Vice President - Member

    With 38 years in the building and construction industry, Jim has a vast knowledge of the best tradesmen, products, and processes to get your job done with quality - on time, and on budget. From humble beginnings in a spare bedroom – Jim grew BHI general contracting, the sister company and commercial division of Remark, into a highly respected regional commercial general contracting firm with an absolutely pristine reputation. Partnering with Chris, Jim returns to his roots in residential construction and brings his skills and expertise to the senior management team at Remark

  • Jake Jacobs: CFO - Member

    Jake Jacobs: CFO - Member

    With several advanced degrees in business, finance, and accounting Jake brings over 30 years of business, planning, accounting/budgeting, and system knowledge to our team. Formerly a business consultant and IT executive with a major bank, Jake designed, developed, and runs the back offices for Remark and BHI. His attention to detail ensures all of the proper paperwork and financial management of a job is accomplished seamlessly. It is his financial savvy that has helped Remark keep our overhead low and our pricing unbeatable.

  • Jeff Piatt: Project Supervisor

    Jeff Piatt: Project Supervisor

    Also a Cincinnati native whose family is involved in construction, Jeff has vast knowledge and experience in many aspects of the construction process. With a degree in urban planning he has over 20 years of experience in the industry, first working in economic development and then transitioning into to helping large commercial customers navigate complicated zoning, permitting, and land acquisition with the addition of his real estate license. Throughout he has renovated kitchens, bathrooms, and basements, on his personal time and is a great trim and finish carpenter. For many years Jeff worked with Remark’s sister company BHI General Contracting, and due to his outstanding performance was asked to join the Remark management team.

  • Scott Kramer: Project Supervisor

    Scott Kramer: Project Supervisor

    Born in Cincinnati, Scott is a 3rd generation builder with NATE certification. For 25 years he has been building, renovating, and remodeling homes, while working full-time supervising and running complicated HVAC projects. With 40 years of experience in HVAC, Scott manages the HVAC needs of our customers including emergency services and repair, replacement, and installation of new units. Working in his grandfather’s construction company, Scott learned the value of putting customers first, and to build with integrity and quality like every customer is your family.

  • Jon Kramer: Project Manager

    Jon Kramer: Project Manager

    Like his brother Chris, from the age of 15 Jon worked in construction beside his father and grandfather, learning every aspect of new construction and remodeling. After high school, he continued his on-the-job training by working on a crew building a 130-home subdivision. He later became the Operations Manager for a large landscaping company, where he expertly handled the business and scheduling side of the company. Jon was instilled with the work ethic of his father and grandfather, and so also began building a side work maintenance company where he personally performed the maintenance work for the franchise owners of several large restaurant chains. In 2022 he joined the Remark team, bringing his expertise to again work beside his brother and father.

    Keith Brown: Office Manager/Estimator

    Keith also began working in construction during high school, and brings decades of experience to the Remark team. After schooling in engineering, Keith became a service technician. He worked for that organization for 25 years, rising to the position of Service Manager. He started his own successful construction and remodeling business, and also served as Director of Construction services for a construction and property management company. Using his vast experience in estimating and operations, in 2021 Keith agreed to come out of retirement and bring that expertise to Remark, to work beside his son-in-law, Chris.

  • Lisa Amspaugh: Director of Sales and Marketing

    Lisa Amspaugh: Director of Sales and Marketing

    Lisa brings with her 35 years of extensive experience in all aspects of sales, advertising, and marketing, including over a decade working specifically in the construction industry. In addition to a Bachelor’s Degree in PR, Lisa has a list of distinguished accomplishments and awards, and has devoted her career to helping small businesses grow and thrive. She designs and manages all of our marketing and customer communications, and works closely with the Executive Team to ensure all of our employee training and processes create the best possible customer experience.
